It’s a MAD day in Yaletown – September 3

Strange weather patterns have hit BC this week and we are expecting a bit of rain at the market, something our farmers are happy to see. Don’t forget the markets are open rain or shine. Put on those rain boots, grab your umbrella and stop by the market for your pre-weekend shopping.

It’s the first market of the month which means this Thursday is Member Appreciation Day, or what we like to call MAD! Don’t forget your member cards and to look for the rainbow Member Special signs while you’re at the market and save! Not a member yet? Sign up at the market information tent and online.

Edible Challenge!

We challenge you this month to really get to know your farmer and your farmers market! This challenge comes in the form of a scavenger hunt – so get ready for some fun! Pick up a Salt Spring Coffee scavenger hunt postcard at the market information tent, the Solefood tent or download it here. Snap some photos along the way and tag them #fairtofarmer, each photo tagged is an entry. You’ll be entered for some great prizes like foodie events (including our very own RIPE celebration in Yaletown), CSA shares and great coffee to name a few! More details here.

Yaletown Pop-Up

This week La Pentola will be popping by the market with their signature pasta and pasta sauce. La Penola is located across the street from the market in the Opus Hotel. It’s not often they sell their pasta for you to take home and enjoy so don’t miss your chance to get it this week!

Ripe 2015

Our annual RIPE celebration takes place on October 18, in Yaletown, at the Roundhouse Exhibition Hall. Less than 20 early bird tickets are left, get yours while they last! Check our RIPE event page for all the details, including participating chefs and farms! This is one farm-to-table experience you wont forget!
