Trout Lake – July 26

We have a great line-up at the Trout Lake Farmers Market this weekend and summer is in full bloom! Last week brought the beginnings of field-grown heirloom tomatoes, Okanagan peaches and Pemberton potatoes. We’re enjoying a bumper crop year of blueberries too. Buy them by the case and freeze or jam a whole bunch. What a good excuse to eat pie and crumble daily!

Don’t miss these vendors:

  • Poplar Grove Arbour Hazelnuts: Talk to Peter about the state of hazelnuts this year and in years to come. If we don’t support hazelnut farmers, we may not have much of a BC hazelnut future!
  • Jamaica Blue Coffee Co: Welcome Chris to Trout Lake with his delectable cold brew – he’ll put on a pot of the hot stuff for you die hards too…
  • Skipper Otto’s Community Supported Fishery: Last time we saw these guys, they were showing us how to fillet fresh salmon!

Thanks for celebrating our 20 Seasons birthday with us – we’ve still got some limited edition buttons at the Market Information Booth so you can wear us with pride! Check out some of our event photos here

See you at the market!
