What’s Fresh at the West End- June 10th

The West End Market is back this Saturday, open from 9-2.  Come visit us at 1100 Comox St, between Bute and Thurlow!

Out exploring downtown Vancouver this weekend?  Pick up a sweet treat from Earnest Ice Cream and some fresh flowers from Warmerdam Flowers.

Live in the West End?  Grab your morning coffee from Mogiana Coffee and pick up some fresh produce  for dinner from one of our many organic farm stands.

In Season:

The long, wet winter this year meant that many growers had a late start to the season…but even with all that, we are seeing more and more fresh produce from our vendors each week!

Peonies, beets, salad greens, rhubarb, mushrooms, chard, turnips, onions, radishes, potatoes, eggs, cheese, salmon, honey (I even heard that strawberries will be making an appearance at the West End this week!)…check out the full in season list here!

Try This:

Did anyone else try the organic popping corn from Klippers Organics last weekend?  It is one of the most fun snacks to make for your next movie night.

Place the whole cob in a brown paper bag, fold down the top of the bag to close, and place in the microwave for 2-3 minutes (until you don’t hear any more popping). Easy peasy!
