Bringing Farmers Markets & Community Together for Fresh to Families Recipients
In 2025, thanks to the generosity of our community, Vancouver Farmers Markets (VFM) hopes to bring back 200 Fresh to Families participants with weekly nutrition coupons, ensuring they can access fresh, local food.
But we want to go one step further. By providing each recipient with a Cherry Tomato Membership, we can make their farmers market experience even more inclusive—giving them a deeper sense of belonging in our market community.
A $20 Cherry Tomato Membership helps break down barriers, making shopping at farmers markets a more welcoming and connected experience. Members enjoy special member discounts with vendors and VFM merchandise and a shared commitment to local food with voting rights at the AGM.

We’re working towards a $4,000 goal to fund memberships for all 200 Fresh to Families participants. Every contribution, big or small, strengthens the markets and expands access to fresh, local food to everyone in the community. Join us in this effort!
