Trout Lake Farmers Market

Trout Lake Farmers Market is operating as an essential service during the COVID-19 pandemic. Full physical distancing and safety measures in place – read more on our FAQ page.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be reserving a 30 minute window of time for seniors (65+), shoppers with mobility challenges, and others most vulnerable to COVID-19 at all six of our summer markets. The reserved time at Trout Lake runs from 9am-9:30am every Saturday.

SHOP, DON’T STOP!: Please use the market to stock up on fresh and prepared food items only. Whenever possible, we ask that shoppers send only one member of their household and keep interactions at the market to a minimum. This will help reduce potential exposure to COVID-19, and cut back on wait times for other shoppers.

LEAVE YOUR CANINE FRIENDS AT HOME: We love our furry market friends, but they’re not great at physical distancing and very little is known about the relationship between animals and COVID-19 at this time. To keep everyone safe and distanced, please don’t bring your dog to the market, or ask market staff to watch them while you shop.

Order ahead and save time: shop online with our new platform, VFM Online Orders! Browse a real-time product list from 70 of our vendors, place orders directly with each vendor, and pre-pay for your shopping bag before you head to the market.

DONATION STATION: We are happy to announce our latest donation station partner at Trout Lake. Find out more about the Grandview Woodland Food Connection below. They will be around collecting donations every second and fourth weekend of the month.

The Grandview Woodland Food Connection (GWFC) is a Neighbourhood Food Network working in partnership with Britannia Community Centre to help support the health and well-being of all residents, and in particular, those most vulnerable living in Grandview Woodland and nearby neighbourhoods by promoting an accessible, just and sustainable food system for our community. We seek to build capacity of the neighbourhood through education, information sharing, and the creation of grassroots initiatives to address food security and justice issues.

The GWFC has established a COVID – 19 Emergency Food Distribution Program 7 days per week distributing food hampers to over 500 households throughout East Vancouver.  We expect that the financial fallout from this pandemic will be felt for some time, so we will continue to offer this essential food access service into the fall. Farmer’s Market food is valuable and will help ensure that our community members are not without healthy food for as long as needed.

EACH WEEK AT THE MARKET: 60+ farms and producers, food and coffee trucks
