Kerrisdale Farmers Market – for August 1, 2015
This Saturday’s market is going to absolutely MAD! That’s Member Appreciation Day (for the uninitiated). MAD markets are the first market of each month where members receive special discounts from most vendors. How do you become a member? Just talk to a helpful crewperson at the info tent to buy a level of membership, and find out the other benefits to becoming a member.
Our corn festival this past July 25, was a huge success that saw our vendors arriving to the market with truckloads of just-picked corn. A standout was Roberta’s Corn Relish demo where sampling was was a big draw. Thanks to all the vendors, shoppers, volunteers, and crew who worked hard to make it such a fun day. Here’s a photo of Anupama, our delightful corn suit volunteer!
This week we welcome a new vendor called Real Meals. Here’s a short blurb from their website: Tired of eating processed and chemical filled foods but don’t have the time and the patience to cook from scratch? Well that’s where we come in. We at Real Meals are dedicated to creating “clean” meals from scratch just like Grandma used to make. “Clean” to us means using certified organic or natural ingredients. All our meals are hearty, healthy and traditional “comfort foods.” – Sounds pretty good to me.. and they deliver too! Check out their website and stop by and say hi this Saturday and find out more about this company and their products and services.
Are you a wine lover? This week we welcome Earlco Wines. Their motto is Caring for Vine & Wine. Their logo sports an Airedale Terrier and here’s why, as stated on their website: Our logo focuses boldly on the family named company and our long line of family Airedale Terriers. What do Airedales have to do with viticulture? Nothing! However we believe they are an emblem of the family values we use in guiding our business practices. Their characters reflect dependability, high energy, fun loving, and loyalty. They are eager to please and protective with high stamina, although this could be confused with being stubborn! Drop by for a free sample or a chat about their wine making process and winery.
Plus, we’ve got 2 organic produce vendors and lots of traditional produce and prepared food vendors to suit practically everyone’s tastes.

See you there!
