Kerrisdale – September 13
Harvest Days are here in BC and farmers are telling us that they’re expecting a bumper crop of fall produce this year!
What’s Fresh
Speaking of things bountiful, The Mushroom Man Scott Henderson will be bringing no less than 30lbs of freshly picked chanterelle mushrooms from Tofino to the market!
This week we welcome back The Artisan SakeMaker. Masa Shiroki returns with his handmade sake created in his Granville Island-based sake winery. Come early because he sold out of some products at his first visit.
Great Himalaya Foods returns with their authentic Tibetan staple products, which are simple, nutritious and made with compassion and a deep respect for nature. You can sample their different varieties of tsampa at the market this Saturday.
What’s Sweet
For baking and baked treats we’ve got A Bread Affair plus Sweet Thea. World-class pastry chef for the renowned Sooke Harbour House and the Vancouver Club, Thea’s creations are both delicious and beautiful. Try the lemon tart. Wow!
Kerrisdale is for Winners
We’d like to congratulate Lily Lau on winning $50 in market money this past Saturday, September 6th! Lucky winner Lily entered our second, free draw of the season.
We’ve got two organic produce vendors plus craft and specialty vendors every week as well so put on your sunscreen, grab a coffee and head down to the market on what promises to be another gorgeous late summer day!
See you at the market!
