Last week at Trout Lake
Thanks for a great season!

It’s Official – East Vancouver has a Winter Market!
You’ve been asking for a winter market in your neighbourhood since we moved the Wise Hall and it’s finally arrived! The Hastings Park Winter Market will operate every Sunday, 10am-2pm at the PNE! Check out our market page for more details! (Nat Bailey opens Nov 7 too!)
What’s happening this week, October 24
Trout Lake Imaginarium
Francoise Thibault from the Tiny Community Centre will be live plexi-glass painting at the market this Saturday. Check out some of her other work!
Trout Lake Community Mural Project
Join artist, Cole Bazin, as he paints our Trout Lake storage container! He’ll be painting from 10-12 on Saturday. Send volunteer@eatlocal.org a note if you want to join!
Hastings-Sunrise Cooks
Help support this awesome initiative! This group has created a cookbook from restaurants/bakeries/cafes around the Hastings-Sunrise community, such as Tacofina, Campagnolo Roma & Basho Cafe, which will raise money for Garibaldi Annex as well as an organization they have partnered with called Backpack Buddies. BB is a charitable organization that noticed a need for providing food for children, in breakfast/lunch programs, on the weekend when they are not at school to ensure they are fed. The children take a ‘backpack’ filled with food home with them every Friday for the weekend. Cookbooks are available by suggested donation at the market.
See you at the market!
