Join us this week on August 13th for the Main St. Station Farmers Market in Thornton Park from 3-7pm!
Share with your neighbours this month! We are collecting donations on behalf of the Farmers Market Nutrition Coupon Program. This initiative of the BC Association of Farmers Markets provides coupons to lower-income expectant mothers, families, and seniors to access local produce, meat and dairy at the markets. Visit the Info Booth to make a donation and share the wealth!
As we cruise into mid-August, a beautiful abundance of tomatoes, garlic, corn, zucchini, cabbage, cauliflower, beans, eggplant, peppers, fresh herbs, and more will be available from your favorite growers.
Summer tree fruits will continue to sweetly dazzle your senses as the best BC peaches, apricots, nectarines and cherries come to you at the Main St Station Farmers Market.
Here is a preview of what you will find at the market on Wednesday:
RAI Produce – The first apples of the season will be available from Osoyoos. Look for Sunrise, Gala and Lodi this week.
Artisan Chef Services – Chef Enrick Gagnon creates authentic French Canadian style pies, cretons, and other delicacies. Don’t miss out!
Blue Comet Seafood – Sasha and Tony Berger have been fishing sustainably gill net caught salmon and tuna along the BC coast for many years. This week they are back at Main St. Join their their “Share Of The Catch” CSF program!
Vale Farms – will be back with certified organic grass fed beef, lamb and sausages. Ask Aaron about their Family Pack!
Capella Farm Market – Farm fresh eggs will be waiting for you from Mike Capella!
Christina’s Garden – Joining us for the first time this year, Christina will be offering fresh cut flowers!
Get your tickets for Ripe 2014! – Sunday, October 19th, 4-8pm at the Roundhouse Community Centre. RIPE is our 5th annual dinner celebration, showcasing Vancouver’s top culinary talent paired with the best of VFM producers.
