One of our GREAT vendors at Mount Pleasant Market!
Fable Naturals!
Chris and Gwen produce fair trade, organic, and natural skin care products in their home and studio right here in Mount Pleasant. We stopped by Fable Naturals at #MPFM to sample some of their amazing products and chat with Chris about their business.
How did Fable Naturals get started?
Fable started in 2012, we were looking for healthier skin care products and had the idea of creating a company focused on fair trade producers. We now produce a variety of organic soaps, and have launched a face line and a body line.
What is one of your most popular products?
Our lip balms are very popular. We produce three flavours: vanilla-orange, mint, and lemon. All of our balms are vegan and packaged in 100% recycled cardboard tubes that are fully compostable. Vanilla – orange is our best seller, and my favourite as well.
Our cedar and sage bar soap is also a best seller. Our soap is handmade with fair trade ingredients such as organic olive oil and cocoa butter and scented with natural essential oils.
What do you love about #MPFM?
We began selling our products at Vancouver Farmers Markers last summer. This is our first year at #MPFM and we are excited to be here. We love being able to meet customers in the neighbourhood, see familiar faces, and make new connections. We have a great customer base in this neighbourhood and our products are also available at local shops in the Main Street are such as The Soap Dispensary and Much and Little.
