Speaking of beer, be sure to bring your bottle for a Dickies Ginger beer refill! Also,this Sunday is your chance to try Pete’s Pies (and sausages rolls), and Disco Cheetah tacos that you keep hearing about!
Even though it feels like autumn in the air, you can still get berries, peaches and tomatoes this week. Time to start stalking up for Fall!

Pick up a scavenger hunt postcard at the market info tent, or download it here. Complete the tasks on postcard:
- Hug or shake hands with a farmer
- Get your face painted
- Try an heirloom fruit or vegetable
- Find something organic that is sold in a jar
- Surprise someone with a bunch of sustainable flowers
- Take home some farm fresh eggs
- Buy a pastry or bread from an artisan baker
- Bring home a new type of cheese
You are probably doing all of these things anyways right? Well snap some photos along the way and tag them #fairtofarmer. Drop off any completed cards at the info tent, the Solefood Farms stall, or mail directly to Salt Spring Coffee. Have fun!
