August is a great month at the farmers market! So much is in season and the farm stalls are overflowing with beautiful fresh food! Finding the perfect peach, plum, pepper & tomato becomes even more enjoyable! The smell as you walk by a bunch of fresh basil will stop you in your tracks. There is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. Join us at the Yaletown Farmers Market as we celebrate the first market of August this Thursday from 2-6pm!
Don’t miss these vendors:
Sole Food Street Farms – bringing Shishito and Padrón peppers to the markets this week. They are simple but very tasty. Be careful though, about 1 in 10 can be pretty hot!
Take a Fancy Chocolate and Sweets – those tasty gooey pecans are back! Stop by and see what special seasonal bars are on offer this week!
The Yaletown Distilling Company – This farm-to-bottle distillery is located only about 10 meters from the market and uses only local grains in their gins and vodkas! Can it get any more local that this?Ask about the distilling process that happens right here in Yaletown and make sure to try a sample!
