Trout Lake – July 18
We’re celebrating berries this month, and with good reason!
Our beautiful province grows some of the best berries in the world and the Trout Lake Farmers Market has everything from your familiar blueberries and raspberries to gooseberries and tayberries! If you like eating berry pie, you should visit our neighbour, the Mt Pleasant Farmers Market, on Sunday and give the best berry pie in Vancouver a try… or pick up some berries on Saturday and just make this award-winning recipe instead.
These vendors are back for the season!
- Rondriso Farms: Ron runs a small family farm north of Cloverdale and brings some of the best corn and potatoes at the market
- Helmer’s Organic Farm: These guys are some of the founding farmers at Trout Lake and are Ron’s competition for the best potatoes at the market…
These vendors are making a rare monthly appearance:
- Empire Valley Premium Beef: head, heart, health and happiness… ask Joyce what that means and how it will impact the way you buy meat for the rest of your life
- fruitguy farms: Michael brings chips and juice that will make you wish he came back more often. Don’t miss him!

Calling all artists!
Are you creative and like working with youth? We’re teaming up with the City of Vancouver and Trout Lake Community Centre Youth Council to turn our plain ol’ white storage container into a thing of beauty. Interested? Check out our post about it here.
