Trout Lake – Oct 11
Happy Thanksgiving!
There is so much at the market for Thanksgiving. We’ll have everything for your big holiday meal from meat, cheese, bread, fruits and vegetables to sweets and pies for dessert!
Don’t miss these vendors:
- Crisp Organics: These guys only come in the shoulder months, bringing organic kale & collards, squash and more from the Fraser Valley
- Wild Foraged: Stephanie stops by every now and then with wild things like pine mushrooms and chanterelles
- Beckmann Berry Farm: Believe it or not, there are still strawberries at the market – and Beckmann’s got them. They’ve usually got some frozen berries (saved summer goodness) too!
Harvest Festival – Oct 18: Everything squash, apples and pears! Recipes, information, cooking tips and a Pie Competition!
BC Fall-Fruit Pie Competition – we’re putting out an All Points Bulletin for the best pie bakers in the city. Bring us your Fall Fruit Pies and you may be rewarded with the big win at our annual Harvest Festival. Open to amateur and professional bakers of all ages! The entry deadline is October 16th.
Winter Markets:We’ve got two winter markets for you this year: Hastings Park Winter Market at the PNE which started last Sunday and the Winter Farmers Market at Nat Bailey Stadium starting November 1.
See you at the market!
