Trout Lake Opening Day Party!
Trout Lake kicks off its 20th season this Saturday, May 9th!
We’ve come a long way since our first opening day on July 29, 1995, when 500 eager Vancouverites descended upon 8 skeptical farmers in the parking lot of Croatian Cultural Centre. 2 relocations and two decades later, we’re thrilled to still call Trout Lake Park our home, and we’re going to celebrate!
Come down to the market this Saturday and join the party! We’ll have Deputy Mayor Andrea Reimer and VFM founder Devorah Kahn on hand to give speeches, plus some fun ribbon cutting, live music, and sweet treats from longtime vendors Small Pleasures and Blackberry Hill Bakery!
Become a Member this week and support VFM during our 20th Anniversary Membership Drive. New and renewing members signing up between May 6-18 will be entered to win a pair of tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s upcoming show, Varekai!
Cirque reps will also be onsite handing out $10 off coupons to the show – look out for the folks in costume to get yours!
