The Vendors
We’ve got an exciting line-up of vendors at Main St Station and it’s so hard to only highlight a few, but here goes:
- Sull Farms: You know it’s berry season when Sull Farms arrives at Main St Station. This is the time to make jam! and pies! and scones!
- Mixers and Elixirs: Make sure to sample some of Heidi’s drinking vinegars – she’ll have a regular spot all season and we’re convinced you’ll keep coming back for more!
- Yellow Basket Baking: These ladies make nut-free, vegan goodies that even omnivores will enjoy!
Don’t Miss
Bryan and Agnes Warmerdam are coming in with irises – the loveliest, softest lavender irises that will make your friends feel so special (make sure to pick up a bunch for yourself too). New vendors, Tuwusht Trading are hosting a drum circle in honour of National Aboriginal Day between 2-4pm and the City of Vancouver is collecting public input on the False Creek Flats planning process – ask them about the future of our farmers market!
Manager’s Picks
You really can’t go wrong with fresh basil from Nature Village Farm and some grape tomatoes from S&G. Add a little Golden Ears Cheesecrafters and you’ve got lunch!
Recipe of the Week: Zucchini Dragon Bowl
The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition put together this recipe from a visit to Trout Lake, but it works just as well at Main St Station this week! Pick up green zucchini, yellow zucchini, carrot, beet, radicchio, and track down some fenugreek (we would ask Sole Food Street Farms or Fresh Roots) for this hearty, healthy meal!
See you at the market!
