Shop online with VFM producers through BCLocalRoot.ca!
As we continue to look for new ways to get more local food from VFM producers direct to your door, we’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered up with BCLocalRoot.ca, the very first BC-only online grocery platform!
Local Food + Local Delivery
The global pandemic has shifted many of our buying habits, and we understand that some of our regular market shoppers are not able to attend markets in person right now. But with an abundance of local food available from our farms and producers this season, our vendors need shopper support now more than ever.
Introducing BCLocalRoot.ca – a safe and convenient online alternative to in-person shopping that brings over 450 BC products direct to your door.
With a shared mission to support local food and small-scale producers, VFM is pleased to partner with BCLocalRoot.ca to feature more than 20 VFM vendors on its online market – creating new opportunities for local producers and eaters to connect, and strengthening BC’s food system and our local communities during these uncertain times.
We know it’s not the same as coming to the markets and getting the goods from the vendors themselves, but we love that this platform lists BC products only and it’s one of the ways to get some of your favourite VFM products delivered!
VFM shoppers get discounts!
For the next month* BCLocalRoot.ca is offering VFM shoppers 10% off an entire order – plus you can use the offer as many times as you like! BCLocalRoot.ca launched their online grocery platform earlier this year in response to COVID-19, after seeing small-scale producers lose many of their key sales channels. Since that time, it has become the very first online market and delivery service dedicated to stocking 100% grown and made in BC goods. Their team is on a mission to help build a resilient food system in BC by encouraging and empowering people to purchase local.
