crispThis week we’ll have two Certified Organic produce sellers at Kerrisdale – Forrest Nelson and Crisp Organics – both long-term KFM vendors. And, both dedicated to bringing you the best produce possible.

littlehomecookThis week we welcome a new vendor to KFM – Little Home Cook. Check out their website, but for those of you in a rush, here’s a short blurb I gleaned from their site:

Muffins are so overly done and a slice of loaf is somewhat underwhelming, we realized that it is time for a change. That change is our PETIT LOAVES – a hybrid between muffins, cakes and loaves; crafted with love and care. These loaves are made with carefully selected local (BC) and Canadian-based produce; from the unbleached flour, fruits, berries, cultured butter, dairy products to fleur de sel. –

Well, my interest has been piqued! I’m going to be trying one of their petit loaves this Saturday.
potterybydaveOne of our frequent vendors at KFM is the unassuming Dave of Pottery by Dave & Family. Dave creates beautiful pieces and here’s a short description from their website:

I’ve been quietly making pots on and off since 1975. I live in Abbotsford with my wife Val, daughter Aisa, and our 2 cats. During the last 20+ years we’ve concentrated on raising our 2 daughters. Now that they are older, I’m able to get back into the pottery studio.

Pay them a visit next time you’re at the market. Dave loves to talk about the potter’s art.

This coming Saturday at KFM, will host lots of traditional produce, prepared food, honey, bakery and sausage vendors. But don’t forget the Okanagan fruits that will be arriving by the truckload.

Looking for your favourite vendor? Here’s a link to an interactive market map.

See you this coming Saturday, August 8!
