VFM Online Orders – UPDATE!

We’re launching the next phase of VFM Online Ordering – making it easier for you to connect with vendors and pickup up your orders quickly and safely.

ORDERING ONLINE

Our online ordering platform, Local Line, is now divided into separate market stores. This change will make it easier for you to look up your favourite vendors and the freshest market finds.

PICKING UP AT MARKETS

We’ve heard you and we know it’s frustrating waiting in the main entrance lineup when you’ve already ordered online. We’re making it easier for you to grab and go with orders you’ve made in advance.

All communication happens between you, the shopper, and your vendor(s), not the Vancouver Farmers Markets. At this time we’re able to operate VFM Online Orders as an online farmers market, not an aggregated pick-up point. We centralize the order information and bring producers directly to your neighbourhood; you keep your transactions and relationships with your favourite vendors!

Skip the Line at select Markets

We know the main entrance lineup can be long at Trout Lake, Kitsilano and the West End. Once you have ordered online, you may be able to skip the line and pickup directly from vendors.

Trout Lake

Online shoppers may access vendor tents from the alley side, or from the park side, off the sidewalk.

Kitsilano

Online shoppers are welcome to wait in line and enter the market to pickup your order. Some vendors may meet you at the market entrance – located in the north driveway entrance to the market. Please contact your vendor(s) directly to see if this option is available for them. Please respect physical distancing while waiting.

West End

Online shoppers may access vendor tents from the sidewalk on Comox Street.

Please be respectful of vendors, who are often busy, and mindful of physical distancing at all times when picking up.

Riley Park, Mt Pleasant, Downtown & False Creek

We will continue to ask that you access the market via the main entrance, even if you have ordered online. Wait times at these markets have consistently been less than 10 minutes.

READY TO ORDER?

Here’s what happens next:

VFM Online Orders continues to improve but is still a new service for everyone – staff, vendors, and shoppers, alike! While we’re working hard to adjust to changing needs during the COVID-19 crisis, both online and at the markets, we ask for your patience as we work out any hiccups in the coming days and weeks.

If you have further questions, please see our Shopper FAQ or email info@eatlocal.org. We look forward to serving you through VFM Online Orders and thank you for your continued support of our farms and producers!
