The Vendors
We’ve got a vendor we’re seeing for the first time this week: Apple Lane Orchards. Rod and Vlasta run a certified organic apple orchard on Denman Island, and have been at the East Vancouver Market since it began! With 20 varieties of heritage, specialty and cider apples, as well as pears, quince, apple chips and apple juice, their stall is a staple Trout Lake stop during the fall.

This week we’re celebrating our local food growers with Farmers Appreciation Week! Join us as we celebrate the importance local food and farmers make to our everyday lives. Take an extra moment to tell the farmers how much you appreciate what they do and how important farmers markets are to you!
