Annual General Meeting 2024
Your Local Farmers Market Society (dba Vancouver Farmers Markets) invites you to the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 22, 2024. The 2024 AGM is happening In-Person and we hope to meet our members and the community at large at the AGM.
We are pleased to share this invitation to our Annual General Meeting and Election of Directors! This is an essential part of our organization, as a non-profit society, and a great opportunity for you to be involved in the decision making process for the future strategy of Vancouver Farmers Markets.
This meeting will be held In-Person on June 22, 2024, 3:30 pm onwards at St. David’s Church (also known as Vancouver East Side Vineyard Church) – 2475 Franklin St. Vancouver, BC V5K 1X3. The AGM will be held inside the sanctuary. Enter through the front door on Franklin St and go up the stairs. The sanctuary has a stairlift for wheelchair access.
Parking Information:
Farmers and Vendors: Please use the parking lot behind the church, accessible via the alley between Franklin St. and Pandora St. This lot is reserved for large vehicles and trailers.
General Parking: Free street parking is available around the venue. There is also a large free parking lot behind the old London Drugs on Hastings St, between Kaslo and Slocan St.

It’s been another incredible year for Vancouver Farmers Markets, and I’d like to invite you to our 2024 Annual General Meeting. In the spirit of furthering the sense of community, the board has once again approved an In-Person AGM, to be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at St. David’s Church. Our board members will be present, and we look forward to sharing all that we accomplished in 2023 and what we are looking forward to in 2024. The meeting will start at 3:30 pm, and I encourage you to join us. There will be plenty of food and space, and we’re eager to reconnect with and welcome everyone!
The Board of Directors has approved the following format for the 2024 Annual General Meeting and election of Directors:
- The Annual General Meeting will be held In-Person on June 22, 2024, 3:30 pm onwards at St. David’s Church.
- Nominations are open and applications will be accepted until the close of nominations on June 7, 2024. Please read more information here about the call for nominations.

While everyone is welcome to attend, voting rights in the current election of directors at the upcoming annual general meeting are reserved for members who became a member 30 days or more before (i.e. on or before May 22, 2024) .

For vendor members: A corporate member may vote by its authorized representative, who is entitled to speak and vote, and in all other respects exercise the rights of a member, and that representative must be considered as a member for all purposes with respect to a meeting of the society.
