Grilling season is fast approaching and I can sense the day when I will be hosting a family bbq at my place . But to get my good ol’  senses to work, I really felt the itch of grilling something special but without putting much effort.

And what better way to kick off this glorious time of year than with a delicious grilled potatoes? Grilled yellow potatoes are excellent choice because they are everyone’s favorite yet are simple to grill.

To get the process going, I first visited St George Farmers Market to grab a bag of fresh potatoes along with few cabbages to make sauerkraut. I can’t wait to get the grill going, so let’s get started with the process!

Ingredients

  1. 3 pounds of yellow potatoes
  2. 1 pound cabbages to make sauerkraut
  3. 1/2 cup olive oil
  4. 1 tablespoon of sea salt
  5. 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  6. 3 tablespoons of flat leaf parsley
  7. 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary

Instructions

First of all make sure to season your grill before use, because dust and debris can accumulate in grill during winter months and make sure to use a calibrated probe to stay informed of the temperature.

Now, listen closely, because this recipe is going to blow your taste buds away. We’re going to start by slicing up some baby potatoes nice and thin, and then tossing them in a bowl and boil them for 8-10 minutes.

After that remove the potatoes from boil and let them cool off.

While the potatoes are cooling,  take  a little bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, and your favorite herbs and spices in a bowl. I like to use a combination of rosemary, thyme, and garlic for a savory, aromatic flavor.

Once the spuds are cool enough to touch, place them onto a sheet pan and mix them with the seasoning.

Next, we’re going to lay those gorgeous potato slices out on the grill for 10-15 minutes. Now let them cook until they’re golden brown and crispy on the outside, and soft and tender on the inside. Oh, just thinking about it is making my mouth water!

Once the potatoes are cooked to perfection, we’re going to take them off the grill and give them a final sprinkle of salt and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for a burst of brightness that will take this dish to the next level.

And there you have it – a simple yet delicious grilled potatoes recipe that will have you dreaming of summer all year long. So fire up that grill, grab a cold drink, and let’s get cooking!
