It’s Corn Festival Time at Kerrisdale Farmers Market
That’s right friends, our Corn Festival is this coming Saturday where we’ll be celebrating the bumper crop that promises to be one great harvest. Our corn vendors will be bringing in truckloads of their varieties to please the most finicky of ‘corn-noisseurs’ (I made that word up). Plus, we’ll have lots of other stuff going on like a big ol’ corn cookout, a corn salsa making demonstration, corn prizes on the spinning prize wheel, and, our old friend and corn-costumed market greeter, ‘Corny McCobb!’
Are you looking for adult craft beverages? Well, you’re in luck, because this Saturday we have Bomber Brewing, Odd Society Spirits and BC Wine Studio. Three local and world-class creators right here at our doorstep. Drop by for a sampling.
And speaking of beverages, Kics Lemonade will be on hand. Small batch lemonades in a variety of flavours that taste the way lemonades should.
For beef and chicken we’ve got Rockweld Farms and Vale Farms Grassroots Ltd. Grass-fed beef and specialty chicken of the highest quality.
This Saturday we’ll welcome a new vendor called Lulu Island Honey. Read about this honey farmer and how their always fascinating bees create different types and flavours of honey.
Plus we’ve got lots of produce, prepared foods, craft, and fruit vendors along with our bumper crop of BCs freshest corn. See you there!
