Textile Recycling at Downtown Market
On Thursday, June 6th, Vancouverites will have an opportunity to drop off their textiles for recycling at our Downtown Farmers Market!
Our partners at Xerowaste Solutions and Green Inspirations BC will be onsite at the market between 3-7pm collecting a variety of clean textile and related items, including the following: clothing, shoes, boots, purses, gloves, scarves, hats, belts, towels, blankets, yoga mats, sleeping bags, sunglasses, backpacks, yarn.
Where do the items go? Once collected, the textiles items are sent to Europe where they are sold or recycled for a variety of uses, including as stuffing for seats in cars and other vehicles.

Where: Downtown Farmers Market, 650 Hamilton St. & Georgia St. at šxʷƛ̓exən Xwtl’a7shn Square (Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza). Look out for the Xerowaste Solutions booth to drop off your items!
