We’ll have authentic Eastern European pierogies from Old Country Pierogi and delicious sandwiches from Cheese Me! onsite this week! Looking for a coffee to get you through the later part of your day? We have that too! Make sure to pick up a Loyalty Lunch Card from the market info tent and every 8th lunch is on us!
In Season: Strawberries!
We’ll finally see the first of the strawberries at the market this week after a very tough wet winter & spring for local farmers… You can check out what local farmers are expecting with this in season list!
Meet our Farmers:
Abundant Acres – Armed with the conviction that farming should contribute to soil health and be in harmony with the natural world, this family is happy to provide you with full-flavour vegetables grown from non-GMO seeds and without the use of synthetic pesticides, fungicides, herbicides or fertilizers. All their warm-loving crops are soil-grown, in unheated, moveable greenhouses. “We’d love to be your vegetable farmers!”
G&D Growers – a family operated fruit farm in the lower Fraser valley. Their primary crops are Strawberries, Raspberries and Blueberries, however they also grow various vegetables for the local markets. We expect they will have strawberries in tow this Thursday!
One Love Farm – a small, family vegetable, herb, and flower farm nestled among the wild and rugged bench lands of Lillooet, B.C. Their farming practises are aimed to enhance the land upon which they grow… strictly organic, with certification in process. All of their produce is grown with the love they channel from the natural forces surrounding this beautiful farm. This love is transferred to you, affecting your life in countless positive ways as you consume it. “All of our varieties are chosen for flavour and culinary excellence.”
