This past week our market team was lucky enough to visit Shalefield Organic Gardens in the Columbia Valley. We toured the 10-acre farm and got to see first hand where all the delicious berries, greens, tomatoes and cucumbers grow! Stop by their stall this week to see what made it to the market and for a taste of this biodynamic farm.
For photos of the visit to Shalefield Organic Gardens, as well as to Fresh Quality Produce and Warmerdam Flowers, see our Facebook album.
The Salt Spring Coffee Edible Scavenger Hunt kicks off this Saturday at Trout Lake, and runs until October 9. This is a super fun and easy way for shoppers to connect with farmers, food, and even market crew, for a chance to win some sweet prizes. Pick up a copy at the red Info Booth mid market and get ready for some market fun!
