Winter Market – March 14

While it might not officially be spring yet – the markets tell a different story! Last week we saw all sorts of greens, Kale, Chard, Spinach, Nettles, Collards, salad greens and more. Plus, the exciting varieties of daffodils available from Warmerdam Specialty Daffodils is another good sign spring is here!

Dont miss these vendors this week:

The Farm House Natural Cheeses – This Saturday they are offering 10% off their Alpine Gold, at the market only!

Good Time Farming – Last week Stefan brought stinging nettle from the Squamish Valley. A great spring green, ask them how they would use it!

Mogiana Coffee – Grab a bag of their locally roasted beans to take home or a cup of coffee to enjoy while you shop!

Meat Your Maker – March 21

We all have questions about where our food comes from and it’s easy to get overwhelmed with all the information out there. Terms like local, ethical, grass-fed, organic, organic-fed, free range can quickly become confusing… time to clear that up! Join us on March 21 at the Winter Market as we highlight our meat producers and ask those questions you’ve been wondering about!

Plus…

*Pick up one of our handy Meat Directories to find information (including summer markets!) on your favourite vendors and maybe you’ll even discover a  new one!

*Learn about the BCSPCA Farm Animal Welfare program

*Check out our meat demos on: Sausage Making, Know Your Cuts of Meat, & Butchering
