Kitsilano Market Wrap Up

On behalf of the Vancouver Farmers Market and all Kitsilano market staff we just wanted to thank EVERYONE for coming out and supporting an amazing summer market season!

Vancouver Farmers Markets winter season kicks off at Nat Bailey Stadium on Saturday, Nov 5th followed by the opening of Hastings Park Market (at the PNE fairgrounds) on Sunday, Nov 6th stop in and and show the openings of our winter season some love!


West End Market - End of Season

Last Saturday October 22nd was our last market of the season! Thank you to all the vendors, volunteers, staff, and shoppers that made for another successful season at the West End Market! Your support is much appreciated.

Looking for fresh local food this winter? Check out our two winter markets:

  • Nat Bailey – Saturdays 10am – 2pm (except Dec 24 & 31) from Nov 5, 2016 – Apr 22, 2017
  • Hastings Park – Sundays 10am – 2pm (except Dec 25 & Jan 1) from Nov 6, 2016 – Apr 30, 2017

What's Fresh Downtown - Oct 27

It’s our last week downtown and the last summer market of the season! With summer weekend markets now closed for the season, this is the last chance for a market stock up until November 5! Thanks for a great season and for all your support at our newest location. Find us one last time this Thursday on the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza from 2-6pm.

Hastings Park welcomes new vendors

This winter, market shoppers can discover some new, up-and-coming VFM producers that are found *exclusively* at our Hastings Park Winter Market!

garlic-festivalOssome Acres from Chilliwack, who grow a mix of wholesome veggies on their 5th generation farm, will be making a weekly appearance at Hastings Park.

New Westminster-based Steel & Oak Brewing Co. will be bringing their selection of craft beers to Hastings Park on a number of dates starting Nov 13.

Get your morning cuppa from local coffee roasters Roast’d

Wild harvest specialists North Pacific Kelp will journey down from Haida kelpGwaii with a range of sea vegetables and wild mushrooms for a series of dates between Dec 11-Feb 5.

Pig out on the Bacon Bomb after a market shop with new Hastings Park food truck Cheeses Crust.

Also joining us for the first time at Hastings Park this season are summer vendors Georels, Salt & Harrow Farm, Jordan’s Jam, Wayward Distillation House, Roasters Hot Sauce, Tempea Natural Foods, and gluten free bakery The Smallflower.

What's Fresh at Trout Lake - Oct 22nd

This is our final week for the Trout Lake Farmers Market! Make sure to come on over to stock up on all your favourite market products before the end of the season, and thanks for all your support!

We have one more Downtown Farmers Market next Thursday October 27th, then there will be one week off before the start of our winter market season.

This week is a great one to buy meat and seafood, with more local, BC grown and harvested meat and seafood vendors than any week before!

  • Vale Farms Grassroots: Certified organic meat from Lumby in the Okanagan.
  • Urban Digs Farm: Meat raised in Metro Vancouver. Check out their recently opened butcher shop on Shaughnessy St.
  • Skipper Otto’s: Ask them about their Community Supported Fishery – a link between consumers and family fishers.
  • Rockweld Farm: SPCA certified, certified organic fed chicken and eggs from Abbotsford
  • Estevan Tuna: Three varieties of BC caught canned Albacora tuna
  • Empire Valley Premium Beef: Grass fed beef and lamb from the Empire Valley.
  • Blue Comet Seafoods: Family owned business with a variety of frozen fish available.
